I know most of you will know this but I wanted to type it out:)

I really do appreciate the fact you're sitting here
You're voice sounds so wonderful, but your face don't look too clear
Barmaid, bring a pitcher, another round of brew...

Now all parrotheads, finish the song.

ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!! ::rofl::

My 9 year old knows the words to "Roll me over in the clover" and she HAS known them for a few years now!!  She knows it's not appropriate for her to sing it in public though....however, I bet if you asked her at faire she'd break into song!!

She also knows tons of the verses to "Roll your leg over".  If I'm stuck on one she's always right there helping....her favorite by the way is "Sharks in the sea".

She also knows "Put your shoulder next to mine and pump away" atleast the chorus.  And "Follow the band" which she learned at GARF.

That's what I get for having a kid who might be more of a Rennie than me!  LOL!

I had never heard the song "hot in here" by Nelly until I heard my 8 year old daughter singing it.
She doesn't hear that stuff at my house. (not a big hiphop fan)

How about

"Oh to reach below the surface..just to find an empty pool..
and to suffer all your pride as I lay down by your side..and you
swallowed up my heart and left me a fool"

I'm betting only the ladies might know this one !

Yep, I started young.

And at my house we only play the rock station or public radio.
I boycot the other stations on account of only having a five song playlist.

You ain't the only one brother!!

Lately I've been indulging my love of Celtic songs, Classical music, and '80s Movie Soundtracks. Gotta find a song or two that go good with Guiness and/or Killians!

I loathe and despise that song, ("Hot in here")and my little sis always wants to listen to it when I (rarely) am around to give her a ride to work.  She's the only one I have to actually use the "I get to veto any music played in my car" rule.  Although I very nearly died laughing when the girls from the local improv group (two good friends of mine) grabbed some audience members and made them dance and sing it.  They were doing a scene in hell and that song was the 'magic dance to make it hotter.'  The fires apparently weren't big enough...

And as for Dropkick Murphys or Flogging Molly, love em!  Great fun and good energy music.  Always makes me want to get up and do something.  Admittedly, said something is going to to pub and getting in a fight, but tha sound like fun anyway!   And I'd love to see the frat boys looks when little, odd me kicks their rears!!!!  Will get CD's as soon as I have spare cash (when hell freezes over)  Till then, it's borrowing them from the roomie!

Yep-"China Roses" -Enya
From the album-The Memory of Trees

I am a huge fan of Enya and her music. I like Loreena McKennit too, but Enya's music is hypnotic.

I use KazaaLite to download what I can't afford to buy. I will buy the CD eventually if I like it enough, but it's not really cheating them out of money anyway. The record labels get most of the money from album sales.
If you really want to support an artist, go see them live.
