Bucket-tops

Does anyone know of anyone who sells, or has a design for, a boot bucket-top?

I have a perfectly serviceable pair of boots, but want a leather bucket-top for them.

Something that attaches about the calf, folds over, and hangs covering the top of the boot. Making it look like part of the boot but not a permanent attachment.

well, you could always get the leather and make what you want yourself, or if you prefer actual bucket topped boots, go to
http://www.renstore.com
they have bucket topped (pirate), knee high and cavalier boots, custom fitted to your measurements, all for a reasonable price too!

I have built a poor set of tops for my boots already.
Used black vinyl and eventhough they look ok (what doesn't after they become dust covered), I would like something nicer.
Also would like to still use the boots I have now. They are extreamly well broken in, and very comfy.

Check with Dmitri (The Wolf), also known as Geof at www.wolfgaard.com. He crafts some amazing leather armor and even if he can't help you specifically, he can probably give you other ideas.

Funny you should mention that. I don't think he's going to want to touch another pair of boots after the small disaster that occurred with the modifications being made to mine. Not that it was his fault in particular. ;) In all seriousness, if anyone could give you any ideas on what to do with your existing boots, it would be him.

Sure, just blame it on poor Chip <g> Why not, he blames you for it. I saw what the mistake was, not a big deal. Trust me when I say that I have no doubt that you *will* be fixing them next week ;)

I don't care when they get fixed (okay, maybe a little), I know they will get done, and I know you will do a faboo job - or make Chip do a faboo job. I don't hand my boots over to just anyone you know. I can't wait until they are done, I feel so naked without my boots. I'll just sit here and wait as patiently as I can. :( <---- Look, you made a redhead pout. You should be so ashamed of yourself.

You cause troube? nah! Dmitri does a good job all by himself. Actually the boots are going to be really nice when they are done - LeatherWorx just put some grommets and laces up the back.
