Ok for all of you men who like to claim that you can unlace a ______faster then downing a shot of whiskey(or add in your beverage of choice).....which is it?  do you prefer to see the corset fall off, or the little work you still must do to get the whole bodice opened/off?????

Gotta add my 2 cents...

Bodice, definitely...  We're talking RENAISSANCE FAIRE here, after all... and besides, anything worth having is worth the effort to get it (them)...

Also, if I'm not mistaken corsets are undergarments and bodices are not.  While they both accomplish a similar result as far as cleavage is concerned, and as a man and a rogue I appreciate BOTH garments and their results, they have their proper place....  ESPECIALLY at faire where there are children about...

Looks like I'm the corset type. But eithor which way I'm smooth with a blade and the lacing is so replacable so it falls off like a blanket from a bed  ::d5::  ::fdevil::  ::d5::

Corset all the way!!! As draco said:  if I'm not mistaken corsets are undergarments and bodices are not. "

And that means When I'm taking off the Corset then Things are apt to get more heated than just helping a "friend" remove her Bodice. That after all is just a soical service we all like to perform. :)

I have a corset and I have bodices, my thiing is I am trying to decide on whether I go for a penndragon bodice this summer/fall or should I go for a potted fox fitted corset.  Corsets are not exclusivly an under garment.....I am looking to get something in leather this year and I want it to be nice....but after heading to the potted fox catalog again maybe the womens huntress jerkin...hmmmm
tough choices.....

I thought the question was more like "what would we prefer to see a Wench wear at Faire ...  My answer to that would remain Bodice, or, now that I think of it, "Battle Bitch Armour"...  Anywhere else, it would depend on the Wench and the Garment in question... Hell, if you're going to a nightclub, wear the sexiest, most revealing thing you can get away with....  If you're in my boudoir, pretty much anything goes...

Frankly I've seen WAAAAAAY too many people in various types of Lingerie at Faire who really should have stayed home, or at least looked in a non-enchanted mirror before they left the confines of their own boudoirs to inflict their deluded, over-inflated self-images on the rest of the general population...  Props to their Chutzpah aside; WRONG PLACE, WRONG TIME... 'nuff sed

I've seen some INCREDIBLY SEXY as well as functional and authentic leather bodices.  Anyone who has been to NYRF the last couple of seasons has seen more vendors selling Leather Armour for Wenches, to which I say a great big HUZZARRRRRRRRRGH!!!!!

All I'm sayin' is let's remember it's a RENAISSANCE FAIRE and do our best to stick to the theme....  Anyone else remember the "Time-Travelling Klingons"?????

I gotta chime in here with Draco....WAAAAAYYYY too many folks running around wearing stuff that doesn't quite cover what they've got and while behind closed doors...it may be appreciated.....in public, most often it's NOT.

Ladies keep your pups in check.

And men....keep your ass cracks hidden.

I have a leather bodice, that while authentic does almost NOTHING for the cleavage. It has no support that's why.

I have both an elizabethan corset and a Victorian corset witch give me excellent results of cleavage, heavage as a sister wench calls it.

Would I wear the victorian to faire NO. Elizabethan Yes.

But would I wear the victorian to Pennsic ?? Hell yeah !!! Matter of fact I wore the elizabethan to the "Men withpout pants party" and had some lovely lads take my shirt off from underneath it with their knives !!! (became chick with no shirt, it was funny!!)

 :P  Take that garb nazi's !!!!!!!!!
