Now that I've got your attention.   :D

I would be eternally grateful (imply what you will) to anyone who can help me translate a pendant given to my great-grandmother by her grandfather who was a sea captain.  The inscription reads: IN AMNIA VARATUS.  I've found variations of these words, but I'm not up enough on my languages to be able to pinpoint a meaning.

  Thanks in advance, guys.

I'm thinking some of these the were spelled wrong as well as I could find nothing of varatus but found veratus... and it sounds very familiar to the Ren Merc's motto:

In Omnia Paratus:  "Ready for Anything"

But in looking for your words as written I got the following:

IN - in or on

Amnia - I'm finding water or Ocean or something like that...

Veratus - 've' is not or without, 'ratus' is -authority, or certain...

So, while I'm no language scholar I'm thinking it means.

That sounds like a cool motto.
Go with that.

I have asked a good friend who is a "language scholar" and she said:
depending on spelling it is "In all Truth" or "In a River of Spring"

So, while I'm no language scholar I'm thinking it means.

Now that is a great pirate motto!
