I still go green when I think of Jack Daniels. Or Wild Turkey.
The porcelain g*d received far too many of those sacrifices.
I don't think whiskeys like me.

See, those aren't whiskey.  Those are bourbon.  Despite the name, bourbon whiskey, they're radically different.

Damn! I need more sleep! I should have caught I said that.

I cannot drink whiskeys or bourbons. I turn a lovely shade of green just smelling them. Same with beer.

So glad I am a girl and can get away with drinking frou frou drinks.  :D

All bourbons are whiskey, not all whiskeys are bourbon. Just like all catholics are christian yet not all christians are catholic. And Jack Daniels is not a bourbon. It is a Tennassee Sour Mash.

My preferance is Tullamore Dew Irish Whiskey, double shot w/ a Stoli & Redbull back.

Here's a nice little article about the general differences between Whiskeys.

http://www.hungrymonster.com/FoodFacts/Food_Facts.cfm?Phrase_vch=Beverages&fid=5899

Here are easy to make shots I pour at work (http://www.buzzardbeach.com) that all the ladies love:

Mickey Dee's Apple Pie
3/4 Green apple Pucker
1/4 Cinnamon Schnapps(hot damn, goldschlager, firewater, ect...)
chilled

Chocolate Covered Cherry
1/2 Malibu Coconut Rum
1/2 Ameretto(any brand)
best at room temp.

Finger Me Good
2/3 Crown Royal
1/3 Butterscotch Schnapps
chilled

Maybe it's just me, but any beer that has a good number of it's ingredients still floating in the bottle, is a great beer. Any beer that you can look at and see you fellow drunkered throught the glass and ale is week pizzle. ::guinness::

I love a nice Amber or Heffewiesen if I'm gonna have a beer.

Hard stuff, I'll take either Grand Mariner, Dimple Pinch, or Southern Comfort.

Straight, in a glass, no muss, no fuss.

If I have to sling some back with the boys, I'll stick to Johnny Walker. Jack and me don't see eye to eye. Tequila makes *everything* seem like a "good idea" and it makes me mean.

All bourbons are whiskey, not all whiskeys are bourbon. Just like all catholics are christian yet not all christians are catholic. And Jack Daniels is not a bourbon. It is a Tennassee Sour Mash.

And not all whiskys are whiskey.  The E is supposed to be reserved for product from Scotland only....I've seen a few abuse this unwritten rule....but that's how it is supposed to be....and not all whiskies can be called scotch.

me - not so much of a drinker.  I'm crazy enough as it is - I pole dance, dance on tables and everything else WITHOUT the input of alcohol.  And I have a feeling I'd be a mean drunk not a happy one.  However, if I decide I need one it's shot of good scotch or whisky (Isle of Jura, Caol Isla, 18 YO Glenfiddich, Pennderyn).  I tried a rum runner last summer - took about 10 seconds to drink it because I was thirsty and Hawkins had to hold me on my bar stool for the next 20 minutes.  Even the Sangria Punch at PARF makes me silly and it's glorified grape juice.

But I have to agree, if I see a guy holding something fruity and frozen I assume he's fruity and frozen....
