silver statues of Galen's dog mardi. What does this all mean. We last saw mardi before Galan entered the forest.

Galen enters the small room he sees when he opens the door.
A vase filled with what looks like frozen tears is in the center of the floor. Galan approaches it and...

His head hit the floor and released a powerful lightning and fireball spell. Curiously, he didn't die. In fact it seemed as though his head hadn't even left his body. But there it was on the floor. Or was it?

Ganlan saw with his newly restored sight a final transformation of the head. The Red Dragon of Maletan  his arch enemy. The head gave out a last work "bzlxyz" and a fiery flame erupted. Ganlan started to cry. It was the name of a spell in the old arcana he had looked into so many years ago. the missing volume might be found. Ganlin retraced his path out of the rooms he had visited, down the dark hallways, out to the rocks. He heard a loud noise behind him. It was the Troll he had followed inside. Hurrying he climbed down to the trees and over to the rope ladder. Climbing down he spotted Mardi chasing after a squirrel. It was the same squirrel that he had spoken to earlier.  "Sit Mardi" he said. "Where were you?" said the squirrel. "I followed your directions and got my sight back and my ability to cry but now I have to find an old book of spells to clear up my missing past", answered Ganlin. Well that's easy" said the squirrel. You just have to...

Suddenly from behind him, Ganlin heard a loud bellowing voice. "I will let you keep it all the way around, Sire Ganlin. I only need to look at it. May I see it?"

Ganlin's mind told him he should be wary of the unfamiliar voice, yet his instinct told him that he should not be in fear of the being it was coming from.  He took a chance and replied " you can drink from it as well if we find the pixie. And if she will let us tap the tree" - I am in need of the quenching ale myself" - he turned to see.....
