Not For Sissies Salsa
« on: Jan 26, 07, 11:47:55 am CST »

It took me long enough, but I finally found a salsa recipe I like.  Got this one from a co-worker after he subjected the staff in Admin to it at a Christmas party.  Was great fun watching them squirm.  If you like it hot, you will like this recipe.  If you don't like hot, don't bother.

It's a simple recipe.  Took me very little time, and made a LOT of salsa.  The instructions offer the choice of boiling or roasting the peppers.  I boiled on my first attempt and it came out great.

Good luck, and if you make any adjustments that work well, please post them.

Steve’s Not For Sissies Salsa

3 Serrano chilies         3 yellow chilies
6 jalapeno peppers            1 bunch green onions
1 bunch cilantro         3 28oz cans whole tomatoes
garlic salt

Boil (or roast and peel) chilies,
Strip leaves from cilantro branches,
Cut up onion & cilantro leaves in food processor,
Add chilies and tomatoes (drained) to food processor,
Add garlic salt to taste (roughly 1t),
Process to desired consistency.
