Peace tied.

They aren't real fond of sharp pointy bits sticking out either. I had a full finger armor piece that came to a point and they made me take it off and take it back to my car. Said I might swing my hand and stick some child in the eye. Funny they didn't say anything about the hilt of the Toledo I was wearing at the time, that has several sharp points to it. I guess it depends on what deputy you get at the gate at the time. I've had a few that didn't even look at me twice, but others that went over me with a fine toothed comb.

They never said anything about my flintlock, or my wife's either. I know a few folks who carry real ones there and they don't say anything to them either.

Hide your flask if you are going to bring one. They will make you take it back to your car if they see it.

That'd be because one of the main income makers on the sight is the booze store outside the front gate and the booze shacks all over the site.  They'd rather you buy theirs than bring their own.

So of the two rapiers I have one of them is a little rusty starting at the tip and going down a little ways on the blade and I was wandering what the best way to get rid of that rust would be.If anyone has a solution please let me know.

Steel wool. Start with a rougher grit and move up to super fine to polish. Gun oil is good to keep the rust away, but you can really use any sort of oil (except WD40, it's too acidic). Olive oil or veg oil will work.
