RDR...
« on: May 19, 10, 01:24:59 pm CDT »

Anybody jumping into Red Dead Redemption right away? I have my copy in front of me. Probably take a peek at it when I get home and then jump fully into it this weekend.

It's been described as a combination of GTA IV, Fallout 3, and all the Clint "Man-With-No-Name" westerns.

Anybody???

Oh yeah. I always assume games come out for all platforms right away.

I got burnt out on PC gaming. I cancelled all the MMO's I'd been subscribed to; WoW, AoC, Aion, and Champions. I've re-discovered the pleasure of sitting on my couch with my feet up playing Xbox 360.

I'm sure I'll get back into the PC eventually.

I'm straight PC gaming these days since we usually have a dvd in for the kid when I've snuck off to log some game time.  I have to admit the port of Assassin's Creed via the Steam Network is like crack on steroids it's so addicting.  I've beaten the game and started right back up again.

1 or 2?

Haven't played 2 yet but I found 1 to get tedious after awhile. A beautifully rendered game but all the missions were pretty much the same and it got boring after awhile.

And I got tired of guards always wanting to kill me just because some idiot standing next to me dropped a pot.

I don't have a problem with the goals being repetitive because the missions can be handled in so many ways.  As for the guards wanting to kick my ass - it's like high school all over again except this time I'm armed and am allowed to kill them.
