Bloody Mary recipie
« on: Sep 19, 11, 10:47:14 pm CDT »

Greetings everyone! Hope you all have had an enjoyable summer. Last week I was on vacation in the Outer Banks in North Carolina, a favorite spot. Anyway while sipping Bloody Mary's while watching the sunset over Roanoke Sound.
I wish to share the ingredients I use and the, ahem, measurements if you will.

Start with two 24oz jugs of Clamato juice into a gallon jug. Glass jug is preffered.
{Clamato gives a lighter drink on the pallet over V-8 or tomato juice.}
Next add 1/3 cup of Worchestershire sauce.
Add two tablespoons of horseradish.
A teaspoon of celery seed.
Three tablespoons or so of Old Bay seasoning.
A dash of fresh cracked black pepper.
Finally a few drops of lemon juice.
 Stir the ingredients and chill for an hour or so.

A highball glass with some ice cubes pour your favorite vodka over the ice to chill, shake then add the Bloody Mary mix. Stir gently in the glass to mix well.

I have recently discovered cucumber flavored vodka. This adds a bit of sweetness to the cocktail.
