You mean you can have weapons at your faire? I know where I am moving now!

Good point Dmitri.

I think it also safe to say that those in the guilds have a little more sense than the average faire goer person and have restraint enough to be careful with their weapons, keep the swords *cough* peace-tied *cough*, so on and so forth.  Not everyone has that ability to be responsible though.  So it may just be faire management recognizes that and makes the rules so that the Gen Pop of faire goers are safe or kept safe from their fellow patrons.  As we all know, Guild members are not normal or average so we don't fall into the above category =D

Don't mind me though, it's not like I actually know what i'm talking about.  Just kinda made sense in my own distorted way *chuckles*

Sadly I don't believe the faires around me even allow weapons in if they're peace tied.  There is, however a loophole.  You can wear it if you buy it...makes for a more costly Ren season, but it is worth it I suppose. ;)

As for pistols, I'm sure you're all trustworthy enough, but I'm sure you could each think of someone you really don't want to combine ale, mead, and flint lock weaponry.

There are a TON of faires up here, and the season starts relatively early (April or May, I believe)

Peace Tied Steel is welcome at most, if not all of them. I don't remember having to take my dagger off once.

Let me know if you want a list of the Faires in the area, and the dates.
