Title: A Christmas Story 2003
Post by: Muffin McFeelie on Dec 06, 03, 12:49:47 am CST
What if the movie, A Christmas Story , were to take place now instead of the 1940s? Some changes would have to be made:

Ralphie wants a new $500 computer instead of a Red Ryder gun

His mom doesn't want to let him have it, saying, "The Perverts will get ya."

The father is preoccupied with his girlfriend and not the furnace.

Randy is on medication.

Scott Farkas, the bully, carries a gun to school.

The teacher's assignment to the class? Think of a word that tells us how you feel about "The Holidays."

Ralphie's "word" gets an A+

Social workers pay Ralphie's mom a visit after she washed his mouth out with soap.

Ralphie and Randy curl up before the soft glow of Pokeman.

Ralphie freezes on Santa's lap when the photographer goes nuts trying to
take his $19 digital photo.

Schwartz dares Flick to pull out his manlihood in the school yard.

And in 50 years, there will be a sense of nostalgia about this.

YES, by far it is my favorite Christmas movie and truly a classic.  ::santa::

Anyone who has not seen it or only saw parts of it, take the time next time it's on, sit down, and watch it. Hell.....RENT it so you can see it commercial free.

Such a great one.

I got the same favorites with the rudolph, and any of the claymation type shows from the 60's/70's.

Drive nancy nuts with the collectibles toys from rudolph. but she gets me toys at Xmas now.

you know they sell a chocolate Rudolph just like the easter bunnies....so now you can bit his ears/antlers off, that is if you are anything like my mother who would eat ours off before easter then our baskets would have earless bunnies iin them......

I love my mom!!!!
