No, really, that was my evil twin brother before. He's such a lush. Oh, that other guy too? My father. Alcoholics the lot of them. There is just a really strong family resemblence. Must be a dominant gene thing working. *wink, wink*

Actually, we found they don't mind you coming back, as long as you space it out a little and keep tipping them. They get bored there as well and are glad for fun, polite company. We've gone back as many as 4 times in a day and they let you sample quite a bit. buying a glass/bottle/or case from them helps a bit too.  ;D

I'm a definite maybe at this point.  I'm going to the Eddie Izzard show at Radio City on that friday, so it all depends on when I wake up on saturday.  If I do go though, I'll more likely than not get to the hotel Saturday evening and go to Fling just on Sunday.

Last years mead was really good! A couple of years ago a group of us got cut-off from wine-tasting! After only about 4-5 samples the wine chickie got worried about our ability to drive  ::)

Look for the little blonde chica (me) and the even littler brown haired chica surrounded by the biggest kilted rogues around (Hawkins and Clan MacHugely).  One of the clan will probably have his face plastered into Arte's bosom whilst she sings him lullabies....OR look for the TALLEST rogue around (Artos my dear) and she will be hiding under his cloak.

We are the Head Buffer (me) and the Head Stuffer (Arte) of Clan MacHugely

I offer a sound piece of advise though - IF when you see Arte she is trying to keep her balance beware - you are NOT large enough to hold her up - she took out all 6' and 250# of Hawkins last year!

Any of you staying at the "Black Horse Inn"?

On another note, I was browsing one of those Realestate books at the laundrymat the other day and saw that a "Knight Inn" in PA was for sale. Isn't that one of the little skeevy motels out by PARF, or is there more than one of them? Hmmm....

As of May 20, there was a Knight Inn out in White Haven for sale.  That's a good distance away though, maybe 2 1/2 hours or more, not sure. It's right off of the Northeast Extension (Rte 476) and US 80.

What's funny is... I think I saw Gardo 2 years ago.

Did a 'LookHardIsThat?NahItCan'tBeWaitIsIt?' kinda thing, but I never went over to intro and see if I was right.  I think I got called away just as I was gonna go over and by the time I looked back, the guy was gone.

*shrug*  I'm not gonna let this happen again, though.

I believe it's around $4-5 a go depending on which one.  BUT if you get on the good side of the servers AND you've got a large mug, they'll usually fill it for that amount - not just the regular size.

Gardo, Macko, Mage, Tink, and co.  It was pretty awesome finally gettin to meet all of ya.  Hope you guys manage to make it back down this way again.  Raven, it was great to see you and Hawkins again.  Ron, you didn't make it, so you suck...  :P(just kidding, life intervenes, I know all too well).  If we can get everyone together again down here, maybe we'll have a BBQ since Phee and I are only about 15 minutes from PARF.  I got a mean chicken-on-the-grill recipe, and Phee is a culinary genius.

I don't want to 'forget' naming somebody so I'll just stick with saying I had a blast with everybody.

Wow - I rarely spend most of the day at the pub, so I was really feeling no pain by the end of the day - but hanging and laughing with all you guys was just fantastic.

Let's face it - Rogues and Wenches just rock.   ;D

Even in the heat, so much fun! I was worried the heat would do me in before long but I hung in there a lot longer than I expected. While I decided not to consume any alcohol, I did spend most of the day at the pub enjoying the company of those I knew and meeting those I had not seen before. And Gardo, though we weren't formally introduced, it was nice to expchange a few words, (and may I say you handle that stroller very well  ;) !)

I have to say, that was the most fun I've had at the PARF site in years. What a great weekend.

I really enjoyed meeting my brothers and sisters of the guilds, that I have only till now only talked to here, or renspace/myspace. It was a pleasure to hang with you all, my family, my shipmates and all my other brothers and sisters of/from wherever that made it to the Fling. I actually ran out of single malt before 5pm on Saturday. Theres a first. :P
Those of you that couldn't make it, maybe someday we will meet, if we haven't already.

You all rock and I was sorry that I missed some of you on Sunday.

We spent so much time in the pub on Saturday, that we decided we were going to catch some of the acts on Sunday. ETH was a blast, but I should have stayed in the pub. Little John talked me into buying one of his sharp shineys when I walked in to say hi to him. Heheheh.

I'll be back to PARF the weekend of Aug. 24th. See you then.

Now come to Tux. :P

I must admit, with the small number of people we saw (boothies not counting) in garb...I felt nekkid in jeans and my black peasant style shirt.

Although as far as hot weather goes...I, for one, am surprisingly more comfortable in garb in hot weather, than I am in civvies. As I awlays tell people. The bodice keeps the chemise from moving...unlike a bra and t-shirt.

So this all leads to one question...What is the weather average for PARF for Laborday weekend? Is it usually very hot? or mild?

Okay so that was a blast - 10 degrees coller would have made it ideal - those little sposts of rain weren't even that bad.

Blaze/Mage we still owe you a round - Hawkins nearly tripped over someone to get one but it was too late....

It was great to meet everyone I hadn't met before and of course to see my old buds....

/snip/

Wasn't me, I swear! I think almost every guy on the boards here had a chance to, er, hold me up  :-* when I wasn't dancing the bump or humming the clown car song....

MFS, you need to teach Freebird your awesome evidence collecting skilz. He needs to be ready for any situation.
